Mailun (Alan) Zhang

PhD Candidate in Computational Data Science, George Mason University

I am a PhD candidate specializing in computational data science, focusing on the dynamics of transient relationships and social networks. My research employs statistical and mathematics models to understand social interaction patterns, with significant applications in social networks and communication systems. I also apply deep learning methodologies to explore the mechanical behaviors of materials, such as predicting the impact of micro voids on the stress fields and crack patterns in fiber-reinforced composites. As a lecturer at George Mason University, I also teach courses on network analysis, sharing my expertise with aspiring data scientists.
