My research interest revolves around developing interdisciplinary approaches to develop and employ mathematical modeling techniques using high-dimensional to better understand collective phenomena. Specifically, I focus on labor dynamics within a workforce, the efficacy of medical interventions on patient outcomes, and the application of emerging statistical methods for casual inference. Previous research includes establishing thresholds for step-based intensity and daily step counts in relation to cardiometabolic health outcomes, developing object detection algorithms for quickly identifying buildings and road intersections in satellite images, and integrating causal inference concepts into introductory statistics courses to enhance students’ understanding of statistical and multivariable thinking. Through these endeavors, I aim to contribute to diverse fields while addressing pressing societal challenges.
